Laptop Requirements
The software used in this course is designed for Gnu/Linux operating systems. If you have a windows operating system, you can use you Windows Subsystem for Linux, or install Linux as a virtual machine(e.g.Virtual Box). If you are using MacOS, you will need to install a virtual machine. Whichever option you take, we recommend installing Ubuntu Mate (22.04 or 24.04) . If you are unsure about any of the above, please contact your IT department in the first instance.
If you wish to use some other variant of Linux or, especially, you have experience of software development under MacOS, please contact Mark Poolman
Accomodation and Travel
All accommodation, meals and refreshments are provided free to delegates and to the workshop trainers.
Travel bursaries
The CarbonRecycling NIBB has funding to support travel up to £100 per delegate. To take advantage of this, please request a travel claim form from Alan Burbidge
